  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
   “Juvenile disposition” means the entry of an order of disposition for a juvenile found to be within the court’s jurisdiction under chapter XIIA of 1939 PA 288, MCL 712A.1 to 712A.32.
