“Michigan university” means any of the following institutions of higher education:
  (a) Central Michigan University.

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.   (b) Eastern Michigan University.
  (c) Ferris State University.
  (d) Grand Valley State University.
  (e) Lake Superior State University.
  (f) Michigan State University.
  (g) Michigan Technological University.
  (h) Northern Michigan University.
  (i) Oakland University.
  (j) Saginaw Valley State University.
  (k) University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.
  (l) University of Michigan – Dearborn.
  (m) University of Michigan – Flint.
  (n) Wayne State University.
  (o) Western Michigan University.
