- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. Upon application, the state transportation department may issue an annual permit authorizing a farm implement dealer to transport by truck, truck tractor, semitrailer, or trailer upon a state highway during daylight hours, including Saturday, farm machinery or implements of a greater width or height than authorized by this act if the transportation is otherwise permitted under those rules promulgated pursuant to section 716 that do not conflict with this section.
