  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.    The consent of the state of Michigan is hereby given in accordance with clause 17 of section 8 of article 1 of the constitution of the United States, to the acquisition by the United States, by purchase, condemnation or otherwise, of any land in this state which has been, or may hereafter be acquired for forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings. The state of Michigan does not give consent to the acquisition by the United States by purchase, condemnation, or otherwise of any land or building for use of storing, depositing, or dumping any radioactive material.
