  • Concurrent resolution: A legislative measure, designated "S. Con. Res." and numbered consecutively upon introduction, generally employed to address the sentiments of both chambers, to deal with issues or matters affecting both houses, such as a concurrent budget resolution, or to create a temporary joint committee. Concurrent resolutions are not submitted to the President/Governor and thus do not have the force of law.
   The legislature shall conduct public hearings on the proposed use and distribution of funds to be provided pursuant to section 675 of the omnibus budget reconciliation act of 1981, 42 U.S.C. § 9902, and shall approve or disapprove by concurrent resolution adopted by a majority of the members elected and serving in each house the bureau’s plan for distribution of funds.
