Terms Used In Michigan Laws 484.1321

  • Consolidated dispatch: means a countywide or regional emergency dispatch service that provides dispatch service for 75% or more of the law enforcement, fire fighting, emergency medical service, and other emergency service agencies within the geographical area of a 9-1-1 service district or serves 75% or more of the population within a 9-1-1 service district.   • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
   A consolidated dispatch shall provide full public safety dispatching services for service requests for the participating sheriff departments, state police, and other participating public safety agencies within the 9-1-1 service district.
