Terms Used In Michigan Laws 50.103

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
   The original record of such bond or other obligation so entered by the clerk, or a certified copy thereof, shall be evidence in all courts the same as the original bond would be if produced: Provided, That this act shall not be in force in any county of this state unless the board of supervisors in their respective county shall deem the recording of bonds necessary, as provided for in section 1 of this act, and that the said board of supervisors shall so declare by resolution.
