Terms Used In Michigan Laws 554.656

  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • Occupant: means a person who occupies a site in a campground. See Michigan Laws 554.651
  • Operator: means a person who owns or operates a campground, and includes the employees and agents of the person who owns or operates the campground. See Michigan Laws 554.651
   In addition to grounds for eviction established under this act, grounds for eviction may be established in a written lease agreement between the occupant and the operator.
