17-5-204. Period of application. (1) This part does not apply to or affect any action or appeal instituted on or before the date to which it has most recently been extended, in which the validity of any such proceeding or of any such bonds is at issue.

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Bonds: includes bonds, notes, warrants, debentures, certificates of indebtedness, temporary bonds, temporary notes, interim receipts, interim certificates, and all instruments or obligations evidencing or representing indebtedness or evidencing or representing the borrowing of money or evidencing or representing a charge, lien, or encumbrance on specific revenues, income, or property of a public body, including all instruments or obligations payable from a special fund. (2)The application of this part may be extended by act of the legislature to any date provided therein.
