33-20-1316. Service of process. (1) For viatical settlement providers, the provisions of Title 33, chapter 1, part 6, apply.
Terms Used In Montana Code 33-20-1316
- Process: means a writ or summons issued in the course of judicial proceedings. See Montana Code 1-1-202
- Service of process: The service of writs or summonses to the appropriate party.
- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
(2)For viatical settlement brokers, service of process must be made pursuant to 35-7-113 or in any other manner permitted by law.
