The license of any licensee who violates any of the provisions of the Nebraska Liquor Control Act shall be suspended, canceled, or revoked. If any licensee violates the regulations adopted and promulgated by the commission or any lawful ordinance of the local governing body, the commission may, after proper hearing, suspend, cancel, or revoke the license. If any licensee is convicted of a violation of the terms of the act, the court shall immediately notify the local governing body and the commission.

  • Local governing body: means (1) the city council or village board of trustees of a city or village within which the licensed premises are located or (2) if the licensed premises are not within the corporate limits of a city or village, the county board of the county within which the licensed premises are located.   • Revoke: means to permanently void and recall all rights and privileges of a license. See Nebraska Statutes 53-103.32
  • Suspend: means to cause a temporary interruption of all rights and privileges of a license. See Nebraska Statutes 53-103.39
