- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
Any lien arising under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 165:28 shall be subordinate to mortgages and other valid liens, recorded with the register of deeds prior to the recording of the notice of the lien referred to in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 165:28.
