I. A beer specialty license may be issued by the commission to any person operating a retail outlet in this state the primary business of which is the sale of beer as defined in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 175:1. A beer specialty license shall allow the licensee to sell beverage, wine, tobacco, and e-cigarettes products directly to individuals at retail on the premises for consumption off the premises; beer may be sold in such barrels, bottles, or other containers as the commission may by rule prescribe.
II. Beer specialty licensees shall maintain an inventory of 500 or more selection of beer labels.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 178:19-d

  • Alcohol: means that substance known as ethyl alcohol or hydrated oxide of ethyl alcohol which is commonly produced by the fermentation or distillation of grain, starch, molasses, sugar, potatoes or other substances, including all solids, powders, crystals, dilutions and mixtures of these substances. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • Beer: means beer, specialty beer as defined by N. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • Commission: means the state liquor commission. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • E-cigarette: means any electronic smoking device composed of a mouthpiece, a heating element, a battery, and electronic circuits that may or may not contain nicotine or e-liquid. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • License: means the authority granted by the commission to engage in the sale of liquor, wine, beverages, tobacco products, or e-cigarettes otherwise unlawful unless evidenced by such document. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • Licensee: means the person to whom a license of any kind is issued by the commission. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • Person: means an individual, partnership, limited liability company or corporation. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • Premises: means and includes all parts of the contiguous real estate occupied by a licensee over which the licensee has direct or indirect control or interest and which the licensee uses in the operation of the licensed business, and which have been approved by the commission as proper places in which to exercise the licensee's privilege. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
  • Retail outlet: means any florist shop, grocery or convenience store, department store, drug store, restaurant, hotel, motel, or any other retail establishment approved by the commission. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
  • Tobacco products: means cigarettes, loose tobacco, and smokeless tobacco. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1

III. Beer specialty licensees shall maintain an inventory of food and nonalcoholic beverages which are readily available to the public, the wholesale value of which shall not be less than $1,000.
IV. The commission may establish restrictions on the number of beer specialty licenses held by any person.
V. All sales of beer, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes shall be recorded on cash registers. No additional registers shall be added during the remainder of the year without prior approval of the commission. No rebate shall be allowed for cash registers discontinued during the license year.
VI. The commission may suspend the tobacco, e-cigarette, or alcohol sales portion of the license separately under the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 179:57.
VII. The fee for a beer specialty license shall be found in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 178:29, II(d).
