Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 212:1

  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The state may acquire title to or control of lands or waters, or hunting or fishing or other rights on private lands or waters, suitable for the protection and propagation of fish, game and fur-bearing animals, or for fishing or hunting or administrative purposes, by purchase, lease or gift.
