Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 292:22

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
The legislature may at any time alter, amend or repeal the charter of any voluntary corporation or the laws under which it was established, or may modify or annul any of its franchises, duties and liability; but the remedy against the corporation for any liability previously incurred shall not be impaired thereby.
