I. Entities formed under this chapter may voluntary file with the secretary of state a statement appointing an agent for service of process pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 5:15-c.
II. Failure to appoint and maintain an agent for service of process in this state shall have no effect on validity of the charter of the corporation.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 292:5-d

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Service of process: The service of writs or summonses to the appropriate party.
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
