Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 19:58-4

  • Election: means the procedure whereby the electors of this State or any political subdivision thereof elect persons to fill public office or pass on public questions. See New Jersey Statutes 19:1-1
  • filed: means deposited in the regularly maintained office of the public official wherever said regularly maintained office is designated by statute, ordinance or resolution. See New Jersey Statutes 19:1-1
  • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
Any certificate filed by an applicant for a Presidential ballot as to the disqualification of a removed resident, who does not reside in this State, to vote for electors for President and Vice-President of the United States in the election district in which he resides shall be sufficient authority for said clerks and boards to make any determination in connection with the subject matter of such certificate.
