Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 23:3-7.12

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. No license agent shall issue a trapping license to a person of the age of 12 years or over, who has not submitted his trapping license of a previous year, or a certificate showing that he has successfully completed a course in trapping methods given by an individual duly designated by the Division of Fish, Game and Shell Fisheries, and any person on reaching 12 years of age who obtains a trapping license under false information within the scope of this act shall be subject to a penalty of not less than $25.00 nor more than $200.00 for each offense.
