Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 30:4-105

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State.   • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
Upon the death or discharge of any person committed to any institution in this state under article 3 of this chapter (s. 30:4-23 et seq.), the chief executive officer of the institution shall forward a certificate to the county adjuster of the county in which the final hearing was held, stating the date death occurred, or if discharged, whether the patient was discharged as cured, improved, or unimproved, and such county adjuster shall file such certificate with the clerk of the court of such county, there to be kept and filed with the records of the commitment of the patient to such institution.
