  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State.   • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
5. a. The name of any person who reports suspected patient abuse or professional misconduct pursuant to this act shall not be disclosed, unless the person who reported the abuse or misconduct specifically requests the disclosure or a judicial proceeding results from the report.

b. A person who reports suspected abuse or professional misconduct pursuant to this act or who testifies in any administrative or judicial proceeding arising from the report or testimony shall have immunity from any civil or criminal liability on account of the report or testimony, unless the person has acted in bad faith or with malicious purpose.
