  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 4. No person shall conduct, maintain or operate a child care center unless a license has been obtained from the department pursuant to the terms of this act. A separate license shall be obtained for each location. The license shall be posted and displayed by the sponsor at all times in a prominent location within the center. No license issued pursuant to this act shall be transferable. A change in the sponsor of a licensed child care center shall require notification to the department within 14 calendar days and reapplication for licensure.
