- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 3. a. The staff member shall provide prior written consent for the division to conduct a check of its child abuse records.
b. If the owner or sponsor of the center refuses to consent to, or cooperate in, the securing of a division child abuse record information check, the department shall suspend, deny, revoke or refuse to renew the center’s license or approval, as appropriate.
c. If a staff member of a center, other than the owner or sponsor, refuses to consent to, or cooperate in, the securing of a division child abuse record information check, the person shall be immediately terminated from employment at the center.
