Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 30:7-8

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 30:7-8. A person admitted to the New Jersey Firemen’s Home shall be entitled to all its benefits and shall be furnished with clothing, subsistence, medical and surgical attendance and whatever may be suitable and necessary to promote his health or recovery and contribute to his comfort in accordance with the rules and regulations of the home. An applicant for admission may be rejected and a guest or patient may be removed by resolution of the board of managers for want of the proper qualifications, to become or remain a guest or patient, or on being restored to health, or on becoming of sufficient ability to promote and provide for his own support or for neglect to comply with the rules and regulations of the home or for conduct adverse to the operation of the home.
