Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 52:17B-18

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Except as otherwise provided herein or as may be changed pursuant to authorization contained herein or in any other law, the organization of the existing Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is continued as the organization of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control established hereunder; provided, however, that divisions in the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control shall hereafter be constituted bureaus in the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control established hereunder, and any person in charge of any such bureau shall hereafter be known and designated as deputy director in the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control established hereunder.
