Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 52:27D-43.27
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. As used in this act:
a. “Center” means an Hispanic women’s demonstration resource center established pursuant to this act which is intended to enhance the employability of Hispanic women.
b. “Department” means the Department of Community Affairs.
c. “Division” means the Division on Women in the Department of Community Affairs.
d. “Director” means the Director of the Division on Women.
e. “Hispanic” means a person who is of Spanish or Latin American culture, with origins in Mexico, South or Central America, or the Caribbean Islands.
f. “Office” means the Office of Hispanic Affairs in the Department of Community Affairs.
