  • Public defender: Represent defendants who can't afford an attorney in criminal matters.
  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
21. Dispute Settlement Office; established.

There is hereby established in the Office of the Public Defender the Dispute Settlement Office.
