  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. The North Carolina Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission, as created by Chapter 17E of the N.C. Gen. Stat. and laws of this State, is hereby transferred by a Type II transfer as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143A-6(b) to the Department of Justice. (1983, c. 558, s. 4.)
