Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 153A-47
- Clerk: means the clerk to the board of commissioners. See North Carolina General Statutes 153A-1
- County: means any one of the counties listed in N. See North Carolina General Statutes 153A-1
Subject to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-138(e), a county may in an ordinance adopt by reference a published technical code or a standard or regulation promulgated by a public agency. A technical code or standard or regulation so adopted has the force of law in any area of the county in which the ordinance is applicable. An official copy of a technical code or standard or regulation adopted by reference shall be available for public inspection in the office of the clerk and need not be filed in the ordinance book.
