Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 18B-907

  • Commission: means the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission established under N. See North Carolina General Statutes 18B-101
  • Electronic funds transfer: The transfer of money between accounts by consumer electronic systems-such as automated teller machines (ATMs) and electronic payment of bills-rather than by check or cash. (Wire transfers, checks, drafts, and paper instruments do not fall into this category.) Source: OCC
  • permit: means a presently valid permit. See North Carolina General Statutes 18B-101

(a) Forms. – The Commission shall make all forms required by the Commission to apply for and receive a permit available on the Commission’s Web site, and the Commission shall, to the extent practicable, allow for the electronic submission of these forms. Any form required by the Commission to apply for and receive a permit that requires a signature may be submitted with an electronic signature in accordance with Article 40 of Chapter 66 of the N.C. Gen. Stat..

(b) Payments. – The Commission shall accept electronic payments for any fee required under this Chapter to receive a permit. For purposes of this subsection, the term “electronic payment” means payment by charge card, credit card, debit card, or by electronic funds transfer as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 105-228.90

(c) Fee. – The Commission may charge a fee to be used to cover costs incurred by the Commission in processing forms electronically and accepting payments electronically. The fee authorized under this subsection may not exceed five dollars ($5.00). (2019-182, s. 18(a).)
