  • Aggrieved party: means a person who sustains an injury as a consequence of the actions of the underage person, but does not include the underage person or a person who aided or abetted in the sale or furnishing to the underage person. See North Carolina General Statutes 18B-120

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
  • Underage person: means a person who is less than the age legally required for purchase of the alcoholic beverage in question. See North Carolina General Statutes 18B-120
