Compliance with minimum standards or minimum training recommended pursuant to ORS § 181A.410 for public safety personnel, except youth correction officers, does not exempt any individual from any minimum requirement for selection or promotion as a police officer or certified reserve officer under ORS § 181A.055 or under any civil service law, charter or ordinance for a county or city.
