Any requirement by the laws of this state that an instrument described in ORS § 205.246 be filed in the office of the county clerk or that an instrument be filed in deed or mortgage records shall be considered to be a requirement that such instruments be recorded instead of being filed.   • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
