ORS § 250.005 to 250.038 apply to the exercise of initiative or referendum powers:
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 250.041
- City: includes any incorporated village or town. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- Measure: includes any of the following submitted to the people for their approval or rejection at an election:
(a) A proposed law. See Oregon Statutes 250.005
(1) Regarding a county measure, regardless of anything to the contrary in the county charter or ordinance.
(2) Regarding a city measure, regardless of anything to the contrary in the city charter or ordinance. [1983 c.514 § 11; 2005 c.797 § 54]
