A physician assistant may complete and sign reports of death. Reports of death signed by a physician assistant shall fulfill all of the laws dealing with reports of death. A physician assistant who prepares a report of death shall comply with all provisions of ORS § 432.133. [2003 c.104 § 1; 2010 c.43 § 5; 2013 c.366 § 76; 2021 c.349 § 13]
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 677.518
- Physician: means a person who holds a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or a person who holds a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine if the context in which the term 'physician' is used does not authorize or require the person to practice outside the scope of a license issued under ORS § 677.
