Terms Used In South Carolina Code 45-4-70
- Bed and breakfast: means a residential-type lodging facility having no more than ten guestrooms where transient guests are fed and lodged for pay. See South Carolina Code 45-4-20
If a bed and breakfast has a swimming pool which is available to guests, it must be constructed and operated in accordance with Department of Health and Environmental Control standards for residential swimming pools.
