  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
Any person violating the confidentiality provision of § 45-9-60 is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both, in the discretion of the court. If the person convicted is an officer or employee of the State, he shall be dismissed from office or employment and shall be ineligible to hold any public office or public employment in this State for a period of three years after such conviction.
