Terms Used In Tennessee Code 33-1-202
- Service recipient: means a person who is receiving service, has applied for service, or for whom someone has applied for or proposed service because the person has mental illness or serious emotional disturbance. See Tennessee Code 33-1-101
Values upon which the law is predicated include, but are not limited to, individual rights, promotion of self-determination, respect, optimal health and safety, service recipient inclusion in the community, and service recipient life and service in typical community settings.
