- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
If a corporation is dissolved by expiration of its duration, the corporation may amend its articles of incorporation to extend its duration before the third anniversary of the date of dissolution.
