- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
The fee for filing and indexing each notice of lien or certificate or notice affecting the lien is $10. The filing of the same notice of lien or certificate or notice affecting a lien in both real property records and personal property files is two filings.
