Terms Used In Utah Code 26B-8-123

• Local registrar: means a person appointed under Subsection 26B-8-102(3)(b). See Utah Code 26B-8-101
• Vital records: means :

  (a)	registered certificates or reports of birth, death, fetal death, marriage, divorce, dissolution of marriage, or annulment;

  (b)	amendments to any of the registered certificates or reports described in Subsection (24)(a);

  (c)	an adoption document; and

  (d)

  other similar documents. See Utah Code 26B-8-101 26B-8-123.  Rules of department for transmittal of certificates and keeping of records by local registrar.      Each local registrar shall transmit all records registered by him to the department in accordance with department rules. The manner of keeping local copies of vital records and the uses of them shall be prescribed by department rules.
