(1) |
An applicant for licensure under this section who is employed by a bail bond recovery agency may not obtain or renew a license unless the employer has on file with the department evidence of current workers’ compensation coverage. |
Terms Used In Utah Code 53-11-117
- Applicant: means a person who has submitted to the department a completed application and all required application and processing fees. See Utah Code 53-11-102
- Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Department: means the Department of Public Safety. See Utah Code 53-11-102
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

The applicant’s license may only be reinstated upon verification by the department of the reinstatement of the workers’ compensation coverage and payment of the reinstatement fee required under Section 53-11-115. |

This section does not apply to contract employees. |
