Utah Code 7-23-104.1. No effect on civil liability

Nothing in this chapter is intended to limit any civil liability that may exist against a check casher or deferred deposit lender for:

(1)	breach of contract;

Check: is a s defined in Section 70A-3-104. See Utah Code 7-23-102
Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
Deferred deposit lender: means a person that engages in the business of deferred deposit lending. See Utah Code 7-23-102

(2)	violation of federal law; or

(3)	other unlawful act.
