- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
A foreign nonprofit corporation registered as of December 31, 2021, is subject to this chapter but is not required to obtain a new statement of registration to transact business in this state.
