Upon the return by the Secretary of State pursuant to section thirteen of this article of a receipt for the record and the fees the general partners shall promptly deliver or mail a copy of the receipt for the record and the fees to each limited partner unless the partnership agreement provides otherwise.
Terms Used In West Virginia Code 47-9-16
- Limited partner: means a person who has been admitted to a limited partnership as a limited partner in accordance with the partnership agreement. See West Virginia Code 47-9-1
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- State: means a state, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See West Virginia Code 47-9-1
