Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 226.01

  • State: when applied to states of the United States, includes the District of Columbia, the commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the several territories organized by Congress. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01

In this chapter “foreign corporation” means all corporations, associations and joint stock companies organized otherwise than under the laws of this state, except railroad corporations, associations created solely for religious or charitable purposes, insurers, motor clubs, building and loan associations and corporations not organized or conducted for profit.
