  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
  • Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.

The officer executing the writ shall return thereon all of the officer’s proceedings and within 10 days from receipt of the bond shall file the writ, affidavit and bond with the clerk of the court.
