Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 32:26-15

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The New Jersey Public Employees Retirement System may make an agreement with the Vehicle Equipment Safety Commission for the coverage of said commission’s employees pursuant to Article III(f) of the compact. Any such agreement as nearly as may be shall provide for arrangements similar to those available to the employees of this State and shall be subject to amendment or termination in accordance with its terms.
