Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 39:3-29.6

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. In the event an identification card issued under section 2 of this act is lost, destroyed or mutilated, a new name or address is acquired, or there is some other change in the information contained on the identification card, the person to whom it was issued may obtain a duplicate upon furnishing satisfactory proof of such fact to the division and upon payment of a fee as established in section 6 of this act. Any person who loses an identification card and who, after obtaining a duplicate, finds the original card, shall immediately surrender the original card to the division. The same documentary evidence shall be furnished for a duplicate as for an original identification card.
