Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 50:3-9

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 50:3-9. No person shall possess, sell or offer for sale any oysters caught or taken from any natural oyster bed or ground where oysters naturally spawn and grow under the tidal waters of the Delaware River, Delaware Bay or Maurice River Cove above the southwest line, except from and including April first to and including June thirtieth of each year or as otherwise determined by the commissioner after consultation with the Delaware Bay Section of the Shellfisheries Council.
