Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 08.84.160

  • occupational therapy: includes
    (A) developing daily living, play, leisure, social, and developmental skills. See Alaska Statutes 08.84.190
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • physical therapy: means the examination, treatment and instruction of human beings to detect, assess, prevent, correct, alleviate and limit physical disability, bodily malfunction, pain from injury, disease and other bodily or mental conditions and includes the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements of bodily functions and structures. See Alaska Statutes 08.84.190

This chapter does not authorize a person to practice medicine, osteopathy, chiropractic, or other method of healing, but only to practice physical therapy or occupational therapy.
